Das Sozialwissenschaftliche Kolloquium der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal beschäftigt sich im Wintersemester mit der Frage, ob und wie Fortschritt heute noch denkbar ist. Die Gemeinschaftsveranstaltung von Soziologie und Politikwissenschaft wird organisiert von Politikwissenschaftlerin Prof. Dr. Maria Behrens und dem Soziologen Prof. Dr. Peter Imbusch. Am Montag, 17. November, spricht Dr. Olof Hallonsten (Universität Göteborg/ Schweden), aktuell Gastwissenschaftler an der Bergischen Uni, über „Big Science as an Engine of Progress – From the End of World War II to Today“.
